Going by all the “backwards” decisions on English, I’m just wondering what kind of job applicants will turn up at my desk many years from now.

[1] Q : This company deals with clients mostly from US, Europe and China. Can you speak English or Mandarin?

A : Sori bos. I no can talk Englais or Cina.

[2] Q : Pelanggan syarikat ini kebanyakan dari negara Amerika Syarikat, Europa dan China. Saudara boleh berbahasa dalam Bahasa Inggeris atau Mandarin?

Cikgu kata Bahasa Malaysia lebih penting daripada bahasa lain.

[2] Q : Kalau macam tu, bagaimana you nak berkomunikasi dengan Mat Salleh dari Amerika Syarikat, Europa atau tauke dari China?

A : Senang aje. Kan internet tu ada banyak kamus online? Satu klik saja dengan sitikus tu dah cukup.

Being a peasant is really not pleasant

Everyday in our lives, we try so hard, we study so hard, and we work so hard, but in the end, also cannot make it. Still the same, and then when you go out, you hear stories that some people had the extra advantages.

it’s unfair, that’s why i accepted the fate of being a peasant. Once a peasant, always a peasant. When you study hard, and you work hard, rarely you get appreciated. It takes one dot on the paper for people to judge you.

and the worse thing, just before you fall sleep, and when that moment you lie on the bed, you feel a moment of loneliness and then you look back at your own life or the day that has gone through. And you wish you were born somewhere else…

that’s why there’s no point in working hard or study hard, because all the sacrifices you make, by the time it’s all done, it’ll be too late.
